The NaturELLA residential quarter in Langenargen (Southern Germany) stands for modern living in harmony with nature – near Lake Constance and with a clear focus on sustainability and future viability. This is where the largest ecologically oriented residential construction project in the region has been built – and in an impressive timber construction style.
A total of nine buildings with 119 high-quality rental apartments have been completed, including 27 subsidised apartments with price controls. The architecture is clear, stylish and well thought-out – high-quality fittings and a uniform modern design make each apartment a special home.
The buildings on the site of the former Naturella juice factory were constructed using energy-efficient modular timber construction. Inside, exposed timber ceilings from best wood SCHNEIDER create a cosy atmosphere and impressively demonstrate how high-quality sustainable construction can look today.
The built-in ceiling system best wood CLT BOX – CEILING FS scores with its high load-bearing capacity, excellent sound insulation and a clean visible surface made of local silver fir in premoum quality with UV PROTECT and ACOUSTIC DESIGN PACKAGE. The system is ideal for multi-storey timber construction, offers reliable fire and sound insulation, fast construction times and ensures a quiet, modern living environment. The high degree of prefabrication and the simple connection of the ceiling elements ensure fast and economical installation.

The Naturella construction project stands out thanks to its clarity and simple, timeless architecture. The interior, with its slatted silver fir ceiling, contributes to a warm and high-quality living atmosphere.
For this project, we installed around 9,100 m² of CLT boxes and 5,100 m² of CLT ceilings. Although we had never used the system before, the work went very smoothly.
