Energy-efficient production at best wood SCHNEIDER®
Our production is energy-efficient: From round wood to wood fiber insulation board, plus all of the energy requirements, everything comes from one manufacturing plant!
Our sawmill is the basis for an ecological production cycle which is unique within the wood industry and extremely resource-conserving.
This is where the round wood for KVH and glued laminated timber is cut to size. The sawdust and the bark are taken to the biomass combined heating and power plant as fuel.
The woodchips, on the other hand, go into wood fiber production. In this way we can recycle all of our production residue in a way that adds value.
Production of GLULAM, CLT and KVH®
When it leaves the sawmill, the sawn timber goes into several different glued laminated timber, CLT and KVH lines. This is where we produce all of the statically relevant wood products for modern wood construction. Any wood shavings which are produced are also taken to the biomass combined heating and power plant.
The biomass combined heating and power plant is fuelled with bark and sawdust, and therefore generates the process heat that is needed for wood fiber production in an environmentally friendly way.
The office building and a district heating network are also fed with the heat and electrical power that are produced as a sideline.
The wood fibers are the starting material for the manufacture of wood fiber insulation boards. The wood chips are de-fibred in the refiner and are then transferred to the wood fiber production building via the blowline.
Production of wood fiber insulation boards
We produce our best wood SCHNEIDER® WOOD FIBER INSULATION BOARDS in what is currently the most state-of-the-art production facility for flexible and rigid wood fiber insulation boards. The finished best wood SCHNEIDER® WOOD FIBER INSULATION BOARDS are manufactured from the wood chips on a continuous production line using an energy-saving drying process.
